Strapless Bra Support Can Be Yours
Ask any woman and she will tell you that a strapless bra can be both a blessing and a curse. When they work, they're the best thing ever created - No more "what do I wear under this?" panic when it comes to strappy summer tops or sultry strapless dresses. But when a strapless bra doesn't work properly, it’s a nightmare! Cups too small and you’re spilling out of your bra. Band too loose and you're always awkwardly tugging at your bra, trying to keep your girls where they should be. The key to finding a supportive and non-slip strapless bra is discovering YOUR perfect fit. Have you found your perfect fit yet? Book a fitting or FREE re-fit HERE!

PRIORITISE FIT
Making sure you are wearing YOUR correct bra size is important for so many reasons, but how do you know your true bra size if you’ve never been professionally fitted? Almost 80% of women are wearing the incorrect bra size (yes... 80%), and finding your correct size is the key to finding the right bra for you. You will be amazed to see what a difference finding your perfect fit can make to your shape and the way clothing fits your beautiful body. No plastic surgery needed - Just the right bra size! Book a Liza Clifford professionally fitting HERE. Just one hour can change your life forever.
YOUR BAND SHOULD BE SNUG
The band of your bra should probably be tighter than you think - remember that true comfort comes from proper support. Regardless of style, the support of any well-fitted bra should mainly come from the band, not the straps. This is especially true for strapless bras because the band is the only thing keeping your girls where they should be.
When on, the band of your bra should sit parallel to the floor. If your band creeps up or down after some wear, it's a telltale sign that the band size is too big - You shouldn’t be able to fit more than one or two fingers under the band when on. A well-fitted strapless bra will not move or slip, and you should never have to adjust it.
SEPARATE AND LIFT
The goal is to find a strapless bra that both separates and lifts your breasts. What you don't want is any spillage over the top and sides of the cups, or gaping between your breasts - Again, this is why finding your perfect fit is so important - So many women are wearing cup sizes that are too small for them. Book a fitting HERE.
If a bra is correctly fitted, the gore (centre of the bra where the wires meet) should lie flat against the chest, with the underwires ending under the armpit and no breast tissue being squeezed out of the top, bottom or sides of the cups. Your wires should sit directly under your breast, in the crease where your breast tissue meets your body - Never on top.
PUT YOUR BRA ON PROPERLY
It’s clear that fit takes priority when choosing the right bra for you, but that all means nothing if you're not wearing the bra properly - and yes, there is a RIGHT way! For a bra to fit properly and work effectively, breast tissue needs to be scooped forward into the cups, ensuring that each breast is encapsulated and properly supported.
Always follow the "scoop" method when putting on any bra. This is how to do the"scoop":
After doing up the hooks, ensure that the bra's underwires are sitting directly under the breast roots (under the bust, where the breast tissue meets the torso). Lean forward and, using the opposite hand, “scoop” the breast tissue forward into the cups. "Scooping" is essential to ensuring that you are always wearing your bras correctly, and you may even sometimes feel like your bra doesn’t fit you properly until you have done this. Scooping fills the cups and positions the underwires correctly so that they encapsulate each breast effectively. Doing the “scoop” ensures the perfect fit every time.

SKIP THE MOISTURISER
Please ladies - hear this! If your bra has a silicone-lined band, as most of ours do, avoid wearing any moisturiser, deodorant or baby powder in areas where the bra sits. The silicone helps the bra to adhere to your skin, but these work against the silicone causing your bra to lose grip and allowing it to move around. This is one of the most common mistakes women make when wearing a strapless bra – even a perfectly fitted bra will slip and slide if it can't grip.
PROTECT YOUR STRAPLESS INVESTMENT
Strapless bras work really hard for you, so you need to take proper care of them to ensure their longevity. Hand-wash your bras ONLY - washing machines are the death of bras. Use a mild soap like Sunlight bar after each wear and dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Perspiration and direct sunlight can cause the delicate fibres of your bra to break down more quickly over time.
